Fork and Knife presented FK 5 STILTS – KOPF HOCH!—
a performance that redefined dimension, proportion,
and perspective in an urban setting.

‘Challenging the audience to shift their gaze upwards.’
During Berlin Fashion Week, Fork and Knife presented FK 5 STILTS – KOPF HOCH!—a performance that redefined dimension, proportion, and perspective in an urban setting. Moving on stilts, the performers welcomed guests of the Berlin Fashion Week coming outside of a show in the Berghain, challenging the audience to shift their gaze upwards.
In a world where we are accustomed to meeting each other at eye level, KOPF HOCH! (Look up!) invited the audience to break from routine, to lift their heads, to confront the unexpected.
The figures, made from upcycled bed sheets, towels, tablecloths, and linens — discarded materials repurposed into moving sculptures. The flowing layers, once part of intimate domestic spaces, took on new meaning in the public sphere, shifting between fashion and art.
By altering scale and perspective, FK 5 STILTS created a moment of reflection, questioning how we perceive our surroundings. An invitation to break from the ordinary and rethink the boundaries of fashion in public space.

Sophia Sühwold and Paula Dischinger found the artist collective Fork and Knife, which focuses on public and social interventions. They often work with their own bodies, a chosen public space, and a spontaneous audience.
Both studied fashion design together in Paris, where they met and continued performing in New York. They are not big talkers; they are makers.
We would love to introduce you to FK 5 STILTS, a lookbook for a performance, made out of entirely vintage clothes: bed sheets, towels and tablecloth.
